Google Farmer Is Only The Beginning…

This recent “Google Farmer” update has everyone in a stir (EDIT:  I think it’s called Google Panda, whatever…that’s just a label).

And, in my opinion, it’s only the beginning.

From analysis of “winners vs. losers” by SEOMoz

To very insightful posts on the discussion with other linked resources for you to examine this…

I think this all boils down to one critical idea which I’ve been spreading all along (and I’m certainly not a perfect example but try as best as I can to adhere to this)…

Content needs to be completely original if it attaches to, is linked to, or is published on your website(s).  Quit gaming the Google system, don’t spin articles, don’t “autoblog” etc…

Publish it yourself (or by your staff), and make it original and tied to the idea you’re creating the content around.

This first update by Google is by NO means perfect, and has started some controversy (like with EzineArticles.com to name one example), but keep in mind this is Google’s first real attempt at getting rid of content farms that have little original content…but certainly not the last.

Get publishing real, original content for people, people. :)
