Sooo…lemme get this straight, you’re not bashful when it comes to sharing your own product(s) with your customers, but you are almost completely friggin’ buried in the closet when it comes to sharing your business with other entrepreneurs? “Oh, but Joe, if I share my business with other entrepreneurs, they might steal my data, my stuff, my ideas etc… and create their own version or outright rip me off!!!”
To which I reply…
Complete and utter horse shit. You’re telling me you don’t have the intelligence or intuition to get a good “feel” for someone before sharing that stuff with them? Come on now…
And, even if someone does rip you off, well then, do something about it. Sue them, ask them to “cease and desist”, whatever, but do something.
Here’s a novel idea, make yours better and compete with them. Blow them out of the water, and make them sorry they ripped you off.
This all assumes of course that it even comes to this, in 99% of the cases, it won’t, this is just a bullshit excuse you’re using to NOT use this strategy.
The success of your business rides on the hope that you’ll realize you can’t, don’t have to, nor should you do this all yourself. There is an entrepreneur out there who has a list of customers built already, waiting for your perfect product to cross-promote to their list in a win-win situation.
There is a group of like-minded entrepreneurs out there who would be willing to form a group mastermind with you, sharing business ideas with you, as you will with them, in the interest of the success of all members of the group.
